Dental procedures on cats and dogs – Animalytics™ data shows that dogs still outnumber cats by more than 2:1
Data taken from the VetViewer benchmarking service of vet practices in the UK shows that dogs still outnumber cats by more than two to one, and that the number of dentals done in the UK is flat.
This is somewhat surprising, given the opportunities within the industry for these sorts of treatments. The numbers of Dog and Cat dentals (defined as a procedure requiring anaesthesia and intervention by a veterinary surgeon) remain flat in the UK, over a twelve-month period.
The Animalytics™ data was taken from the VetViewer benchmarking service, which gathers data anonymously from hundreds of vet practices in the UK. A more detailed analysis, including breakdown of typical pricing, will be published soon.
